Our Story
Gabrielle and Jay met the modern way, on Bumble in 2019. On their first date, Jay was surprised to learn that Gabrielle did not eat seafood. To rectify the situation, Jay took Gabrielle on his boat, to one of his favorite places, The Oar on Block Island. While she did not particularly enjoy the sushi, she started to fall in love with him.
Some of Gabrielle and Jay's favorite memories together are: catching their first tuna together on Midnight Rambler, both earning their master's degrees and graduating the same semester, adopting their cat Mollie, boat trips to Block Island (of course) and closing on their first home!
At sunset, May 29th, 2022, on the beach next to The Oar, where their love started, Jay got down on one knee and asked Gabrielle to be his wife.
